Magnolia Square 4,5 and 6th June

I'm going to have a stall at the Upcoming Magnolia Square at the Oaks Marquee, Randwick Racecourse on the 4,5, and 6th of June. I'll have my cards, printis, mounted prints and original illustrations. I'm looking forward to it.

Owls and Critters who love you

I am pleased to have created and completed the following two illustrations today. I hope you will enjoy them too.

Sitting Pretty is about an owl daydreaming in a blossom tree. I imagine some perfect spring day in a beautiful Japanese garden. This is a very delicate image with alot of detail and softness about it.

We Love You is a joyous and quirky illustration which began as an illustration for my sister and read ":We love you Rosie" I thought it was one that everyone could enjoy as you look up at these little critters declaring their love for you. I wish I had this one as a little girl when I was scared before bed. (imaginary monster etc. At least these monsters are the good sort. : )

I want to thank everyone who visited my stall at The Finders Keepers and also to my boyfriend Jason, my sister Rosie and her girlfriend Lou who all helped me out over the two days. I felt very loved and supported. Also, thank you to dad who surprised me on Saturday morning and greeted me on arrival.

There were so many beautiful stalls. I bought some beautiful bird earrings from my neighbouring stall Agent Indigo.

I also had my new Illustration up on display called Russian Doll. The print is available now in my etsy store.

Mitsu is now available online

I'm very pleased and happy to announce that Mitsu; The Dark Witch and the Dream Wilderness is now available online!

It has been 4 years in the making and with the inspiration of Rosalia's creative imagination and writing and my illustrations we have combined to create this beautiful book. I'm very proud of both of us for making this happen.

Puppet Girl

I thought I would post my puppet girl I made for a study project as she looks very much like one of my drawings. I really like her. There are some paper birds too.

Finder Keepers; May 7th and 8th

Finder Keepers is on at Carriage Works (Redfern) on the 7th and 8th of May.

I will be there with prints, cards and original works. I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm back with a new book

I've begun new course in Design and Illustration which has been busy in a good way.

Now my sister and I are about to launch a book called Mitsu; The Dark Witch and the Dream Wilderness in a few weeks. We will post more details as the event is finalised. In the meantime we have set up a site for the book at www.mitsubook.blogspot.com

Rosie wrote the book and I illustrated it. It s a book about a girl who enters a dream world in search of her mother. You could place it in a similar vein to Tim Burton or the movie Coraline.

2010 Calendar

I have now created a new calendar for 2010 which is available at Redbubble. It features 12 of my illustrations from this year and is a large format with rich colour. I'm very excited about it! It makes a good xmas present. I always enjoy turning over a good calendar to reveal the following months image. Take a look anyway and let me know what you think. xx

Kirribilli Markets...

Girl with Her Bunny Rabbit

This Sunday I'm having a market stall at Kirribilli Markets selling my illustrations and jewellery. I'm pretty excited because it is a once a month Art Market and I'll get to have a look around including the flea market. I always love meeting new people at the markets and it's good for people buying my illustrations to meet the artist.

Lets hope for a sunshiney day! Even if it does rain I'll be under the shelter of a huge tunnel so all is well either way really. : ) I will post up some images of the day, I want to write a tribute post to my partner Jason. He helps me out so much and he is a honey.
